
FGDL
The Fonds de garantie des dépôts Luxembourg (FGDL) is an independent public body responsible for compensating depositors under the conditions set out by Luxembourg legislation in the event of a bank’s failure. The FGDL is separate from your bank and only accesses your information when necessary for the application of the deposit guarantee scheme.
The information documentation made available to depositors provides:
- the amount of the deposit guarantee,
- the application to different accounts held by the same holder,
- the deadline for compensation.
The content and format of this documentation are defined by Luxembourg regulations as part of the European harmonization of deposit guarantee schemes. This information is provided for regulatory and informational purposes.
