The Board of Directors of Société Générale Bank & Trust appoints Olivier Blanc as Chief Operating Officer.

Based in Luxembourg, Olivier Blanc reports to Arnaud Jacquemin, Chief Executive Officer of Société Générale Bank & Trust and Country Manager for the Societe Generale Group in Luxembourg. In his new role, Olivier will be responsible for driving efficiency and operational security strategy of the bank.
This appointment is effective immediately

Subject to the approval of the supervisory authorities, Olivier Blanc will be a member of SG Luxembourg’s Authorised Management, alongside Arnaud Jacquemin and Hélène Crinquant, Secretary General.

Olivier Blanc has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Societe Generale Luxembourg in July 2019. Olivier Blanc joined Societe Generale in 1990 as part of the Capital Markets department, where he held various positions (audit, middle office operations, risk management, project management, COO of various business lines, finance) in France, the United States and South Africa, before moving to the Group's Risk Division in 2008 as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. Then, he was appointed Audit Officer for the Group's French Retail Banking activities and its International Retail Banking activities in Africa, as well as for Private Banking and Securities Services operations. Most recently, he was Head of Fund Services Operations at Societe Generale Securities Services.

Olivier has a postgraduate degree in organisational IT from the Montpellier University Faculty of Science and is a graduate of Montpellier Business School.
